Wild About Breakfast

This week is Wild About Breakfast week at Mendenhall Elementary. Each day the different classes can invite their parents to eat breakfast with them. I feed my boys each morning…But they feel the need to go eat again when they get to school. How will I afford the grocery bill in a few years…oh my! 20120306-122601.jpg

Gage’s day was Monday. After we went through the line the lady asked Gage if he wanted to sit at the big table. He quickly said yes! Only students who dine with their parents get to sit at the big tables so it’s a very BIG deal. He had ham, a biscuit, & apple juice. Only at the ham & apple juice though. We talked about the different kids as we walked to/from class & see if they were “zipping & flipping” (zipping their lips & crossing their arms.) we had a fun time giggling & talking. He’s a funny little guy.

Carson’s day was Tuesday. Carson wanted to either hold my hand or put his arm in mine as we walked to/from the cafeteria. Too sweet! We also got to sit at the big tables. We didn’t plan it but say right in front of Lauren (Carson’s girlfriend) & her mom. Lauren commented on Carson eating all his pancakes. Then I said well that’s not his first breakfast…he’s already eaten a waffle with pb and syrup and a corn dog! Then Carson quickly leaned over and whispered why did you have to tell them all that. I was quick to answer and Lauren’s mom helped me out saying eating like that will keep you healthy and strong and help you not to get sick. It was a fun way to start my mornings this week!
